Kids Krav Maga members pay $75 -$95 per month.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”What is the difference between Rocky Mountain Krav Maga & CrossFit and other Martial arts schools or a Globo gym?” open=”false”]Our Krav Maga program is a reality based self defense & self protection system, we are dedicated to keeping our members safe. We are not a belt factory like most MA schools. Giving out belts like candy to keep their students happy. Having a black belt does not been you can defend your self on the street or in your home if attacked. We don’t focus on tournaments because that isn’t real fighting.

Our CrossFit program is like having a personal trainer with you for your whole workout, We are not about putting you on some machines and forgetting about you. CrossFit is about fitness for life some have called it rehab for life. It’s the strength to put a heavy box up on a shelf or simply picking up your grand child. All our workouts are scalable so the complete novice can get started with the same program our elite members are training in. We want you to get in shape not lose you in the shuffle. Do you want a fitness coach for just $100 a month?[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”Is Krav Maga Kids appropriate for my child?” open=”false”]

Yes, We teach children in an age appropriate fashion. We strive to build strong minds and strong bodies. Our class are big on fun so your son or daughter has fun while learning:

  • Practical self defense and when to use it.
  • Fitness skills (similar to our CrossFit program)
  • The tenants of the Martial Arts: Modesty,Courtesy,Integrity, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit
  • How to work with others.
  • The benefits of working hard.

We are not a black belt factory. Our kids earn belts through hard work not for a testing fee every few months. We have a small fee to cover the new belt and certificate. We do not believe in children obtaining the rank of black belt. The meaning of black belt has been watered down over the years, with schools telling every kid they will be a black belt( if their parents pay the testing fees). Our kids can earn a junior black belt, then when they are old enough they can join the adult program.

What does that mean to you? All of our instructors must pass a grueling 7 day instructor course, just to teach basic Krav Maga (35%of candidates fail the course). We are currently training under former Krav Maga Worldwide President John Whitman and the Krav Maga Alliance. We are also a member of the Colorado Krav Maga Association. We are 100% dedicated to Krav Maga it is not something we teach as a side class to a Traditional Martial Arts Program. If you want instructors who are totally dedicated to Krav Maga for the past 12+years then, choose TEAM RMKM as your Krav Maga Training Center.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”What is the best class to start my training in?” open=”false”]You are welcome to come to any Basic Krav Maga or Intro Krav Maga class. Any Kids Krav Maga/CrossFit or CrossFit class is fine to join in on as a new student. Try to be 5-10 minutes early.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”I’ve never participated in any martial arts before. Is Krav Maga going to be too hard for a beginner?” open=”false”]NO! Krav Maga is based on our natural response to many threatening situations. For that reason many people find it easier to learn than some other traditional martial arts. At Rocky Mountain Krav Maga, we spend extra time with all of our new students to ensure a fun and painless introduction to Krav Maga![/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”I’m out of shape and am afraid of getting hurt. I should get fit before I take any classes?” open=”false”]ABSOLUTELY NOT! Our instructors know how to motivate you no matter what shape you are currently in. Our classes are designed to be challenging and lots of fun while keeping all of our students safe.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”Does Krav Maga have a system of belt ranks?” open=”false”]Yes. Like many martial arts, Krav Maga uses a belt testing and ranking system to acknowledge a student’s advancement in the art. All students begin as white belts and can move up to yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, and then black belt. Belts are not emphasized (students do not wear belts) in the system, however, and students can take advanced training without following the belt system. The real test is knowing the Krav Maga techniques well enough to perform them successfully on the street.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_toggle title=”I have teenagers. These classes are not appropriate for them?” open=”false”]NO WAY! In fact, Krav Maga is a great way to build a young adult’s self-confidence while improving his/her fitness level and stamina. Our classes are a great way to stay in shape in between seasons for sports teams. And learning self-defense is important at any age. We also offer teenage only classes, call for more info.[/vc_toggle][vc_separator color=”grey”][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”sidebar-6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
